care:

a little care will go a long way in ensuring the long life of your softedge piece/s, here are a few tips:

vitrified porcelain is microwave-safe and can withstand high temperatures. however, direct heat and sudden temperature changes may cause thermal shock. always place hot items onto wood, cork or cloth and let them cool naturally before putting them into the fridge or freezer.

all softedge porcelain is dishwasher safe. to safeguard against damage during a wash cycle, gently place each piece on the racks, leaving a generous space between different shaped items.

if you don’t have a dishwasher or need to clean the more oversized items, hand wash them with natural detergent and warm water before carefully stacking in a dish rack to dry, ensuring adequate space is left between each piece.

silverware markings may appear over time. we recommend lightly scrubbing with a combination of detergent and baking soda or Barkeepers Friend. when stacking softedge plates or bowls, small scratches may occur where glazed and unglazed surfaces come into contact.

to avoid scratches, ideally, your porcelain will either be stored in plate racks or with linen/felt between each item. alternatively, we recommend stacking the plates face-to-face and base-to-base.
